Start from clean, not from scented

Heat is what speeds evaporation. The rear-view mirror is the right place; the windscreen shelf is the worst one you could pick and will cost you weeks of life.

It refreshes the surface of the wooden cap and keeps the release even across the pod’s life rather than front-loaded.
